ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Georgia's Knowshon Moreno is one of three finalists for the Doak Walker Award given to the nation's top running back.
Moreno has 1,244 yards rushing to join Herschel Walker as the only backs in school history with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
Moreno has 16 touchdowns, the most for a Georgia player since Garrison Hearst set the school record with 21 in 1992, when he won the Doak Walker Award.
Joining Moreno as finalists named Monday were Michigan State's Javon Ringer and Iowa's Shonn Greene.
The winner will be named on Dec. 11.
