UPDATED: Third Arrest Made In Aiken County Murder

Suspect taken into custody in Pooler, GA

An Aiken County man, wanted in connection with the murder of an 18-year old, is in custody tonight.

Officers from Chatham County, SLED, and the US Marshal's Office arrested 24-year old Christopher Nathaniel Parker, without incident, on charges of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.

He will be extradited back to Aiken County.

The New Ellenton man was wanted in connection with the murder of Huran Akil Dix, whose body was discovered in a wooded area off Dry Branch Road Saturday.

31-year old Marrio Parker and 28-year old Pebbles Moyle are already in custody, charged with accessory to murder.

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people in connection to the murder of 18-year-old Huran Akil Dix.

Marrio Sherard Parker, 31, of 143 Milion Avenue, in New Ellenton, has been arrested along with 28-year-old Pebbles Nichole Moyle, of 213 Jewel Street, in New Ellenton. Both Individuals have been charged with Accessory after the fact to Murder.

Christopher Nathaniel Parker, 24, 143 Milion Avenue, New Ellenton SC. has been identified as the individual responsible for the murder and is still being sought by law enforcement. “Both the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Aiken County are determined to stop the violence occurring in our community and these arrest are a direct result of that partnership. “ said Sheriff Michael E. Hunt

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Christopher Nathaniel Parker, 24, of 143 Milion Ave, in New Ellenton.

Parker has been identified as the individual responsible for the murder of 18-year-old Huran Akil Dix, of 132 Broadway Street, in Aiken.

INvestigators say Dix was shot once in the back and buried in a wooded area off of Dry Branch Road, near New Ellenton.

Investigators also tell us, it appears at this point, that Parker murdered the victim over an alleged stolen income tax check. Parker has a criminal history which includes Kidnapping and several counts of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, among other charges.

Parker should be considered armed and dangerous.
