A strong arctic high pressure system which has affected the CSRA the last two days will gradually shift east of the area...allowing for a return of moisture to the CSRA late Monday night. This will result in precipitation moving into the western portions of the CSRA after midnight and the remainder of the area through Tuesday morning.
Enough cold air is expected to be in place to result in a 3 to 6 hour period of light snow or light snow mixed with freezing rain and rain to the north and mainly rain to the south.
All the precipitation will turn to rain by Tuesday afternoon.
