A 100 day tour across the southeast has made its way into Augusta area.
The Kangaroo Express Salute Our Troops Campaign was in Hephzibah, Georgia Saturday. The main goal this summer is to raise one million dollars for the troops. That money will go to the U-S-O, The Wounded Warriors Project, and the local National Guards. A restored military jeep was there for folks to take pictures of and to show appreciation for our soldiers.
Drew Stipe and Tim McGinn, Salute Our Troops tour-"Brings back old memories. We hear a lot of stories from Veterans and just people who grandparents had it on a farm. it's really interesting to see how people take it."
Both Drew Stipe and Tim McGinn will be traveling to Florida to continue this great cause. The Salute Our Troops tour will last through Labor Day.
