Baby Died Of Natural Causes In Crowded SC Day Care

Authorities say an autopsy shows a 6-week-old baby found unconscious at an overcrowded Rock Hill day care center last month died of natural causes.

York County Coroner Sabrina Gast told The Herald of Rock Hill on Monday that an autopsy and other tests found Zaden Jones died from positional asphyxiation.

Gast says the infant was placed face down in a crib. Police say the owner of the day care is charged with a misdemeanor child care facility violation because there were only two people watching 20 children under age 5 the day the baby died.
