According to a release from Columbia County Chief Magistrate Judge Bobby L. Christine, a Columbia County deputy Marshall has been suspended after an arrest in Aiken County.
Deputy Marshall Vashion Staley voluntarily turned himself in to Aiken County authorities on a misdemeanor warrant alleging he made a verbal to his wife over the telephone.
Staley and his wife are going through a divorce and are currently separated.
Staley has posted bond.
Staley is currently suspended from duty pending further investigation.
