The sounds of Christmas will return to The Willcox Inn hotel Wednesday when a most-festive hay wagon full of carolers winds up an hour-and-a-half singing tour of downtown Aiken at 5:30 Wednesday.

About 30 carolers, including cabaret singer Kendall Standish plus Santa and Mrs. Claus, will begin their journey at 4:00 p.m., at Nandina’s at the corner of Laurens Street and Park Avenue. They will make several stops at downtown shops.

The event is sponsored by the Hatchaway Hounds Mock Hunt and the Aiken Chamber Equine Support Council and its Chairwoman Samantha Charles.

The event is free and open to the public. After singing out front, he management of The Willcox encourages everyone to come inside where all are invited to warm themselves around a roaring fire and the grand piano.
