Gloverville, SC -- No robes, no pointy hats and no crosses were on display at the Klu Klux Klan rally in Aiken County Saturday.
The gathering took place at a park off Pine Street, in Gloverville.
About 100 people showed up to the rally, many of them spectators, curious about the KKK.
The three main issues the groups’ "Grand Dragon” Tim Bradly wanted to focus on was illegal immigration, health care and recruiting.
"Nothing about this rally is a hate rally. It's to open people's eyes about illegal immigrants and what the Obama administration is doing about health care reform for the American citizen,” Bradly said.
Danny Storey, from Warrenville, says he used to go to KKK meetings and he wants to see if anything has changed.
"Just nosey, just seeing what's going on,” Storey said.
Because of the group’s history, some spectators were very vocal about their disagreements, but the rally remained peaceful.
At one point, two African-American high school students stopped by because they were doing a project on the KKK.
Bradly stopped what he was doing to shake their hands.
“He's the leader of the KKK so I don't know if I believe him, but it was an attempt," student Kevin Gilcrih said.
Bradly says his recruiting effort landed 27 new members.
