Monetta Shooting Incident Being Investigated

According to Sgt. Dave Myers, early Wednesday evening, approximately 6:00 p.m., the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) is investigating a shooting incident that took place on Huckleberry Finn Road, in Monetta, S.C.

Aiken, S.C., December 03, 2009 -- According to Sgt. Dave Myers, early Wednesday evening, approximately 6:00 p.m., Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) investigators responded to a shooting incident that took place on Huckleberry Finn Road, in Monetta, S.C.

After arriving at the Huckleberry Finn Road location, ACSO Investigators were able to confirm that two individuals had been shot. Rodrecus Tolen, of Saluda, was shot in the leg then transported to Lexington Medical Center, and Billy Joe Blackston, of Gilbert, S.C. was shot in the stomach then transported to Richland Memorial Hospital.

According to information given to ACSO Investigators, three unknown black males driving a red vehicle are the subjects in question for the shooting of the two victims.

There are no other details for comment concerning the investigation at this time.
