Aiken County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Killed in Car Accident

Update: 48-year old Lt. Michael Frank was killed in a one car accident on Interstate 20 in Georgia. The accident occurred east bound at mile marker 132 in Green County, Georgia, while off-duty. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident. Lt. Frank was a 13 year veteran of the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and served as the agency’s Public Information Officer.

Sheriff Michael Hunt says of Lt. Frank, “He was a dedicated employee that technologically enhanced the communication between with the media and the sheriff’s office. Our thought and prayers go out to Michael’s family as well as his sheriff’s office family.”

Funeral arrangements are pending.
