Kidnapped Child Recovered In Aiken

Local investigators play a big role in the safe recovery of a 3 year old girl. According to Lt. David Turno with Aiken Public Safety. Investigators say the child was with her mother when they were picked up at the McDonalds on York Street.

Officers working on a tip have located a missing child and her mother at the McDonalds on York St. in Aiken. An Amber Alert had been issued for the child, Chesney Anne Gaskin 3 years of age out of NC.

The child's mother Danielle Star Simpson 24 is the abductor and has been taken into custody and is being held for the Sampson County Sheriff's Office. The child is safe and will be turned over to NC authorities.
