PHILADELPHIA (AP) - The World Series won’t resume until Wednesday night at the earliest.

With rain still falling in Philadelphia, Major League Baseball decided not to attempt to complete Game 5 Tuesday night.

The game, played in increasingly heavy rain last night, was suspended following a 30-minute delay with the Philadelphia Phillies and Tampa Bay Rays tied 2-2 after 5 1/2 innings. It was the first time a World Series game wasn’t played to completion on the same day.
