Vernon Forrest’s Brother Comments On Indictments In The Boxer’s Death

Fulton County’s District Attorney says he will seek the death penalty against three men charged with murdering boxer Vernon Forrest. Wednesday, Forrests’ brother Alphonso talked only with WJBF News Channel 6 about the ongoing murder investigation. He says he and his family met with the District Attorney Tuesday.

Augusta, GA—Fulton County’s District Attorney says he will seek the death penalty against three men charged with murdering boxer Vernon Forrest.

Wednesday, Forrests’ brother Alphonso talked only with WJBF News Channel 6 about the ongoing murder investigation. He says he and his family met with the District Attorney Tuesday.

Alphonso says the family is taking it one day at a time and all they want is justice.

Alphonso Forrest, Vernon Forrest’s brother: “If the peoples of Fulton County and the state of Georgia feel that the cases that occurred warrants the death penalty, then we stand by that.“

No trial date has been set yet in this case for the suspects…30-year-old Charmon Sinkfield, 25-year-old Jquante Crews, and 20-year-old DeMario Ware.
