CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A published report indicates that The Nationwide Tour Championship is coming to South Carolina for the next three seasons.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reports the tour’s season-ending event will be played at the Daniel Island Club beginning in 2009.

Nationwide Tour spokesman Jeff Adams would not confirm the report, which was not attributed. He did say there have been talks about having a Nationwide event in Charleston and details will be announced Thursday.

The Nationwide Tour Championship helps determine which players receive a PGA Tour card the following season.
