Louisville, GA Native Punches His Ticket To Next Year’s Masters

Louisville is located 45 miles from Augusta National National Golf Club. It took Brian Gay just less than 39 years to make the trip. The former Louisville resident won his first full-field event on the PGA Tour, Sunday, in Hilton Head, and as such earned his first-ever invitation to the Masters. Augusta, GA—Louisville is located 45 miles from Augusta National National Golf Club. It took Brian Gay just less than 39 years to make the trip.

The former Louisville resident won his first full-field event on the PGA Tour, Sunday, in Hilton Headm and as such earned his first-ever invitation to the Masters. Brian lived in Louisville for a few years, as a young boy. His dad, Joe, still lives there, and his mom, Margaret, is originally from the ‘Ville. Both are on their way back from this weekend’s tournament.

Brian has dozens of relatives across the CSRA…including Tommy Jones, of Augusta. Tommy is Brian’s cousin, on his mother’s side…works with the accounting firm of Jones, Jones, and Davis, off Wheeler Road. The whole family couldn’t be happier…
