Top-ranked Pacers Finish 13th at Bobcat Invitational
The top-ranked team in NCAA Division II, USC Aiken concluded Georgia College & States Bobcat Invitational at the 6,730-yard par 72 Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee in 13th place.

EATONTON, Ga. The top-ranked team in NCAA Division II, USC Aiken concluded Georgia College & States Bobcat Invitational at the 6,730-yard par 72 Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee in 13th place.
The Pacers fired a team score of 899 (298-302-299) to claim sole possession of 13th place in the 18-team field.
The Pacers had two players finish in the top 25 individually with Roberto Diaz (Veracruz, Mexico) finishing in a tie for 12th place with a three-round tally of 216 (69-74-73).
Teammate J.P. Solis (Morelia, Mexico) moved up five places in the third and final round to conclude the event in a tie for 22nd with a three-round score of 219 (74-73-72).
The eighth-ranked Georgia College & State golf squad won its home tournament. Georgia Colleges Francisco Bide won individual medalist honors as the only competitor under par. Bide carded a three-round score of 208 (71-71-68).
As a team, GCSU finished with a three-round team score of 859 (284-288-287). The Bobcats bested second-place team and NCAA Division II No. 2 Columbus State by seven strokes (866). The sixth-ranked squad in Division II, Nova Southeastern University was third at 870, while No. 15 Valdosta State University was fourth at 876 and No. 20 Barry University and No. 3 Florida Southern College tied for fifth at 877.
Winners of two of their first three tournaments in the spring of 2009, the Pacers will next play in its third NCAA Division I tournament of the spring at The Hootie at Bulls Bay in Awendaw, S.C. The tournament will take place Monday, March 30 and Tuesday, March 31 and it is hosted by South Carolina.
