Steve Ensminger Will Run Auburn Offense

A day after firing Tony Franklin, Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville says inside receivers coach Steve Ensminger will run the 20th-ranked Tigers’ offense the rest of the season. And Tuberville says Ensminger won’t be a candidate to replace Franklin as offensive coordinator.

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - A day after firing Tony Franklin, Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville says inside receivers coach Steve Ensminger will run the 20th-ranked Tigers’ offense the rest of the season.

And Tuberville says Ensminger won’t be a candidate to replace Franklin as offensive coordinator.

Franklin was just six games into his first season with Auburn.

Ensminger is a former LSU quarterback who has had previous coaching stints with Georgia, Texas A&M, Clemson and Louisiana Tech.
