CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson interim coach Dabo Swinney says he’s concentrating fully restoring his players’ confidence and not on whether he’ll keep his job after the next three games.
Swinney was named to take over last month when longtime coach Tommy Bowden stepped away. Swinney said then he thought it was a tremendous opportunity to show what he could do and he still believes that strongly, despite the Tigers’ 1-2 mark since he took over.
Clemson fell at Florida State 41-27 this past Saturday, the team’s first loss to the Seminoles in four years.
The Tigers will try to rebound against an improved Duke squad at Death Valley this Saturday.
Clemson must win its remaining three games to get a bowl invitation.
