CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson coach Dabo Swinney says the Tigers’ loss to No. 14 Georgia Tech will lead to bigger things this season.
Swinney said Tuesday that if Clemson shows the effort and heart it did in wiping out a 24-0 deficit to lead 27-24 against Georgia Tech, the Tigers will have a special fall.
Clemson wound up falling 30-27 to the Yellow Jackets, who connected on two fourth-quarter field goals for the victory.
Swinney wants the Tigers (1-1, 0-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) to channel that spirit Saturday when they take on Boston College (2-0). It is the ACC opener for the Eagles, who have won three of four over Clemson since joining the league before the 2005 season.
