CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson’s new baseball schedule features 27 games against teams that made the NCAA tournament last spring, including three with rival South Carolina.
The Tigers released the 2010 schedule Tuesday. The team will play just three games against the Gamecocks, down from its usual four games of the past few seasons.
The state rivals will play from March 5-7 at three different locations. They open the series at Clemson’s Doug Kingsmore Stadium, then play at Fluor Field in Greenville and close at Carolina Stadium in Columbia.
Clemson starts the season at home against Miami, Ohio on Feb. 19. The Tigers will play 17 of their first 21 games at home.
