Clemson Pushing C.J. Spiller As Heisman Trophy Candidate

Clemson, SC—Move over Tim Tebow….Sam Bradford…and Colt McCoy…Clemson coach Dabo Swinney thinks he’s got a player who can seriously contend for this year’s Heisman trophy.

Dabo posed in front of a life-size poster of Clemson running back C.J. Spiller at the Tiger Media golf outing, on Tuesday.

The Tigers are touting Spiller as a Heisman candidate and they are being agressive about it. The Athletic Department is shipping a bunch of these posters to an number of media outlets.

For the first time in his career, Spiller won’t be splitting carries with another back. Swinney has made it clear that C.J. is in position to have a monster season.
