COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina’s football game against Arkansas this weekend will be on TV after all.
Gamecocks athletics director Eric Hyman said Monday the school got a one-time wavier to be able to show the 1 p.m. Saturday football game on pay-per-view.
Hyman thanked the Southeastern Conference for getting permission for South Carolina to broadcast the game. Schools usually can be on pay-per-view in the afternoon just once a season, and the Gamecocks used that exemption in their game at Mississippi earlier this year.
Outside of South Carolina, the game will be shown as part of ESPN’s GamePlan package.
