USC To Wear Camo Wounded Warrior Uniforms For Florida Game
Under Armour has announced Tuesday that they have partnered with the University of South Carolina, the University of Maryland, and the Wounded Warrior Project. Players will wear special uniforms with comouflage striping and numbers on November 14th.

Alabama coach Nick Saban says his kickers won’t use tape to spot field goals and extra points. South Carolina Steve Spurrier pointed out Leigh Tiffin’s use of the white tape to spot his kicks in last week’s game and reported it to the Southeastern Conference. He said Tiffin quickly put the tape in his pocket after kicking. Saban says Tide coaches have found that more than half of the SEC teams put something such as a piece of grass or mud on the field so the kicker knows where the ball will be spotted.

Spurrier: Alabama Used Tape Trick on Field Goals
South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier says Alabama used some tape trickery on field goals and extra points last weekend and is asking the Southeastern Conference if what he saw on video is legal.
NCAA: Just 21 Percent Of Athletic Departments Are Profitable
Fewer than 25 percent of all major collegiate athletic departments made money in 2007-08. That finding was released Tuesday by the NCAA, which surveyed all 119 Football Bowl Subdivision schools. Of those, 25 reported overall profits for the fiscal year ending June 2008, up from 19 in 2006.

University of Connecticut Coach Says 2 Teammates With Football Player During Deadly Stabbing
One teammate performed first aid while another comforted a University of Connecticut football player who was fatally stabbed during a fight outside a school-sanctioned dance over the weekend, their coach said Monday. Coach Randy Edsall wouldn’t identify the teammates or say how many players witnessed the fight that led to the death of 20-year-old Jasper Howard, a native of Miami.

Giles, Batchelor won’t play For USC Against No. 2 Alabama
South Carolina running back Jarvis Giles has been suspended and won’t make the trip to play No. 2 Alabama on Saturday night. South Carolina athletic spokesman Steve Fink also said offensive line starter Heath Batchelor would also not make the trip. Multiple media outlets reported that the junior had left the team this week. Fink could not comment on those reports.

Georgia Tech point guard Moe Miller continues to suffer the effects of a concussion he suffered in a car wreck last month. Coach Paul Hewitt says Miller told him that he felt “off-balance” while practicing “a little bit” on Monday. Hewitt says Miller hit his head on a side window in the accident and suffered his third concussion in 10 months.
