Texas Tech’s Bobby Knight Reaches 900-Win Plateau
Bob Knight reached another milestone. Texas Tech upset 10th-ranked Texas A&M 68-53 for the Hall of Fame coach's 900th career victory. After the game fans chanted Knight's name as he walked off the court to a thunderous ovation.
North Carolina 83, Georgia Tech 82
North Carolina is still unbeaten, but just barely. Tyler Hansbrough scored 27 points and made a crucial block in the closing seconds as the top-ranked Tar Heels held on for an 83-82 victory over stubborn Georgia Tech tonight in Atlanta.
USC 70, Arkansas 66
Devan Downey scored 28 points to lead South Carolina to a 70-66 win over Arkansas. Downey also added six steals to help the Gamecocks withstand a big second half by Arkansas' Sonny Weems and avenge a 30-point loss to the Razorbacks in last season's Southeastern Conference tournament.
UGA 61, Alabama 54
One year after blowing a big lead in a loss to Alabama, Georgia gave its fans another scare tonight before recovering to beat the Crimson Tide 61-54. Billy Humphrey, who hit a key late 3-pointer, led the Bulldogs with 13 points. Freshman Jeremy Price added 11.

Clemson’s Booker Wins ACC’s Player Of The Week
Clemson's Trevor Booker has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference player of the week. Booker claimed his first award after averaging 30 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots in losing to Charlotte and beating Florida State.

Gamecocks’ Raley-Ross May Miss 2 Weeks
South Carolina coach Dave Odom says guard Brandis Raley-Ross sprained his left knee while practicing last weekend and could miss up to two weeks. Odom says Raley-Ross was shooting Saturday at the Gamecocks practice facility on a day off for the team when he went to slam dunk the ball, and landed awkwardly.
