I wonder what Tommy Bowden is doing right now?...
Kudos to Head Coach Chris Hughes and the Richmond Academy football team. The Muskeeters have already won 6 games and clinched their first state playoff berth in 10 years. Yes, this is the same ARC team that won 0 games in 2007. Chris Hughes gets my nod as Area Coach of the Year…
Still not sure what I think of Matt Ryan’s nickname….Matty Ice. Yeah he’s cool, but I just can’t see Roddy White running up to him after a TD catch yelling, “Great throw, Matty Ice!“...
I checked out the bull riding event at James Brown Arena and now I know what Willie Nelson meant when he sang, “Mama, don’t let your babies grow up to be Cowboys.“ You have to be one tough dude to hop on the back of a bull…
I was strolling through a store the other day and I heard Christmas music…in October!!!!...
David Fritts won the FLW Walmart Bass fishing tournament on Clark Hill, last week, and pocketed $125,000! Hey Dads, quit trying to make your son the next Tiger Woods and instead put a fishing reel in his hand!...
Stealing Home is one of my all-time favorite movies…Why does Bud Selig always look confused? If the winner of the Georgia/Florida runs the table and wins the SEC Championship game, it deserves to play in the BCS title game with one loss, over an undefeated Penn State squad…The NBA season starts today, which reminds me, I haven’t watched an NBA game from start to finish since the Reagan administration…

Man my Dawgs looked terrible huh?
Thanks to Texas Tech my prediction of Penn State vs USC is that much closer. I want credit when it happens!
Love the blog…
The BCS should be Big 12 vs SEC.. plain and simple… Kansas is a fraud though. Sadly the BCS will be Penn State vs USC… you saw it here first.
Tommy Bowden is probably working the internets to try and remove pics of his kid from google…
the NBA rules… how can you miss guys like CP3 and Bron Bron? C’mon.
Thank you Jason Bartlett… Maddon should’ve let him bat in Game 5 in the 9th… if the guy can win a taco for the nation, he surely coulda tied the game.
Keep up the good work!
From GreenvilleOnline
CLEMSON—Tommy Bowden said he hasn’t been to a football game at West Virginia University since he graduated, so when Clemson plays at Florida State on Nov. 8, he may attend the Mountaineers’ game with Cincinnati.
For the first time in longer than he cared to recall, Bowden has time to kill in the middle of the season. He’s shopping for a car and car insurance, which he hasn’t needed to do for a good while.
Bowden said his son and daughter will probably attend the Clemson game in Tallahassee, Fla., and sit with their grandmother, but he will tailgate with friends and family in Morgantown, W.Va., then watch the game, preferably from the press box.
The more importatnt question is whether a one loss Texas, Texas Tech or OU team gets to face yet another Big preTENder in the championship game. Penn St. and Ohio State don’t crack the top four of either the Big 12 or SEC. Given the obvious lack of depth in the SEC this year can there be any doubt that the Big 12 is the superior conference…Stealing Home isn’t even one of the top five baseball movies, top five Jodie Foster movies or top five Mark Harmon movies. It is a top five Harold Ramis acting movie however. Rock Chalk.
If a one loss FLA or GA team gets in the National Championship game over an undefeated PSU team, the BCS is a joke (er, more of a joke). After all, the BCS has already seen fit to reward OSU with more than its share of opportunities coming out of the Big 10, so to deny an undefeated PSU team the same opportunity would be hypocritical. Plus, what makes the SEC so wonderful this year? Auburn just got whacked by WVU. LSU is obviously down. Tenn has one win. Vandy has turned out to be a poser. So really, you’re left with just 3 teams with any sort of swager in the SEC. Hardly, a dominating year for the conference.
