Kiffin Kudos… No average Joe…and keeping the Faith….

Hats off to Lane Kiffin. I, like many other people, predicted Florida would destroy the Vols. I was wrong. I was suprised by how conservative Florida’s offense was. I don’t remember too many throws on first down. Urban Meyer comes out a day later and says that several of his Gators were playing with the flu. Even if the Gators weren’t playing at full strength, this should take nothing away from how Kiffin’s Volunteers were able to give Florida a game for 60 minutes. The SEC East will become more interesting if Kiffin can recruit a big-time quarterback.

I wonder how many people jumped off the Joe Cox bandwagon after Game 1 and then how many people jumped back on it after Game 3?

Is Matt Ryan really only in his second year as an NFL quarterback?

I just have this feeling that South Carolina is going to knock off #4 ‘Ole Miss.

Nobody has mentioned it, but a reliable source in Ohio tells me that Cincinnati will play Florida in the BCS national title game. Don’t laugh, it’s not as far-fetched as you might think. With Southern Cal now out of the mix, the Bearcats can get there if they run the title in the Big East and Texas loses. They also need the Big Ten and ACC champion to have at least one loss.

If Jacory Harris keeps this up, let the heisman talk begin. The Miami quarterback is fun to watch.

If you are scoring at home, that’s now 3 shutouts in a row for Lakeside’s defense. The Panthers “D” needs a nickname. Feel free to email me any suggestions at .

Start looking up every offensive record at Williston-Elko. The Blue Devils are going to shatter every record this season. In their first 4 games, they’ve scored 56…51…60…and 64 points.

I bet Bobby Petrino thinks AJ Green is the best wide receiver in college football. I know I do.

Admit it…you make it a point each week not to miss Faith Hill sing the theme to “Sunday Night Football.“
