The air is crisp, the rides are ready. It’s time for Aiken County to have its own fair…and the Western Carolina State Fair is here to oblige. This go-round, organizers promise new rides, new shows, and more. But, there’s one thing this year that you won’t find at the fair. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe explains.

According to Sgt. Dave Myers, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) would like to remind patrons of the Western Carolina State Fair, which will be in Aiken, S.C.  starting Thursday October 22, there will be no persons 16 years of age and over allowed into the fair wearing a mask of any kind. This reminder is for security reasons and the safety for all patrons of the fair.
