Deputy Ronnie Collins was fired from the Augusta Richmond County Sheriff’s Office for not being “truthful” during the interview process. That’s according to Sheriff Ronnie Strength. Deputy Collins was hired from the Richmond County Board of Education Police in April. Collins was working as an officer at Spirit Creek Middle School when an email to the Board of Education alleged that he and others had inappropriate relations on school grounds. Those allegations remain under investigation.

Many of you saw our coverage last week of former Richmond County Sheriff’s Deputy Wesley Powell’s offensive dash cam video. The video was over 13 minutes of profanity, racial slurs, and sexual conversations on his cell phone. We now have the entire video online. Wesley Powell resigned after authorities say he used profanity, sexual comments and racial slurs during a cell phone conversation that was recorded by video equipment in his patrol car on July 2nd.

Today authorities have released dash cam video of a former Richmond County deputy who resigned earlier this month after allegations of inappropriate conduct.
