Thanks to a WJBF News Channel 6 viewer in Thomson, we’ve got a scam alert to warn you about. The scam starts with a phone call. The caller says you’ve won a lottery…thousands of dollars. In order to get the money, however, you’re told to send a check to them for processing.

South Carolina residents who were forced from their homes by a wildfire want to know why it took officials so long to warn them.
