Georgia tight end Bryce Ros is ending his football career due to a chronic foot condition. Georgia director of sports medicine Ron Courson says Ros, a redshirt freshman from Kennesaw, suffers from chronic degenerative changes in his right big toe joint.

Wild Dogs That Killed Retired UGA Professor, Wife Being Rounded Up

Authorities are carrying out a court-ordered euthanization of dogs believed to be part of a pack that killed a couple in northeast Georgia. By Tuesday evening, 11 dogs and 5 puppies had been taken to the Madison-Oglethorpe animal shelter as part of a round-up of dogs that might have been involved.

Sheriff: Retired UGA Professor, Wife Likely Killed In Dog Attack

Authorities have identified a couple found dead along a road in rural Oglethorpe County. Authorities say the couple found dead by Jehovah’s Witnesses Saturday morning were 77-year-old Lothar Karl Schweder and his wife, 65-year-old Sherry L. Schweder.

The University of Georgia is expecting more than 6,300 new undergraduate students this fall. That number includes more than 4,700 freshmen, who moved on to campus this week. It also includes 1,600 transfer students.
