US Swine Flu Total Tops 100; SC Cases Included In Total

Scores Of Schools Closed; NY Swine Flu Victims Recovering

Scores of schools have been closed around the country as precautions against the spread of swine flu. With confirmed cases in at least 10 states, some schools are closed from California to Michigan to New York. U.S. officials say more may need to close, which may trigger a chain reaction as parents left without child care can’t report to work.

Augusta Flu Samples Sent To CDC For Testing

Wednesday, WJBF News Channel 6 spoke with Doctor James Wilde, a pediatrician at the Medical College of Georgia Children’s Medical Center, to get more information on swine flu, and how it can effect you. Dr. Wilde told us there are 3 confirmed cases of flu in the Augusta area, however…there’s no reason to be alarmed! Those have not been confirmed as swine flu.
