Goodyear Wants SC Learjet Lawsuit In Federal Court

A company being sued over the fatal South Carolina Learjet crash that killed four and injured two celebrities has filed an appeal requesting the case be handled in federal court. Attorneys for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. made the request in documents filed Wednesday.

AP Source: DJ AM Autopsy Finds Pills In Stomach

DJ AM had prescription pills in his stomach and one in his throat when police found him dead in his apartment, a New York City official said Wednesday. The official told The Associated Press that six pills were found in the celebrity disc jockey’s stomach and that the pill in his throat appeared to be the powerful painkiller OxyContin.

Learjet Files Counterclaim Over Fatal SC Plane Crash

The manufacturer of Learjet is brushing off blame for a crash in South Carolina last year that killed four people and injured two music celebrities. Attorneys for Learjet Inc. and Bombardier Aerospace Corp. said in a counterclaim filed Monday that any alleged damages are the fault of the jet’s owner or operator, not its manufacturer.
