These days, there is one business that appears to be booming: The “second-hand” business. Motorcyclists hit the streets of Augusta Saturday, collecting toys for children with cancer. More than 40 bikers stopped at different stores to pick up the toys. Once they finished, they headed downtown to MCG’s Cancer Center for Kids, where each child got to pick out which toy they wanted.

Everyone’s looking for a bargain at this time of year, especially with the current economic situation, and one of the best ones around is being offered by the state of South Carolina. WJBF News Channel 6’s Capitol reporter Robert Kittle has more.

Hazardous toys are still on store shelves across the country, even though there’s a new law that overhauled the nation’s product safety watchdog agency. That’s according to the 23rd annual toy safety survey, “Trouble in Toyland”, released Tuesday by the U.S. Public Interest Research Group (U.S. PIRG).
