According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, the Aiken Department of Public Safety arrested a Columbia, SC man after he stole a car and fled, on Friday night.

According to Captain Steve Morris, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office needs assistance from the public in identifying a fraud suspect.

That argument is at the center of an unusual appeal before the Georgia Supreme Court Monday seeking to cut short the prison term of a man sentenced to 10 years after he was convicted of felony motor vehicle theft for swiping a riding mower.

The Lutheran Church, on North Pleasantburg Drive, in Greenville, SC is missing a cross. Police reports state that a large red cross was stolen from in front of the Church, overnight Thursday.

According to Sgt. Dan Lowe, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office needs the help of the public to help apprehend George Michael Hinton, who’s wanted in Burke County for a Armed Robbery which occurred back on May 22nd, 2009. UPDATE: Hinton has been arrested in Bulloch County.

A 70-year-old Graniteville woman is accused of stealing from a victim of the Graniteville train accident. Aiken County Investigators say Minni Lee Jeff stole money from a victim’s settlement check. According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, the Aiken Department of Public Safety (ADPS) is seeking information on a theft that occurred at Solid Gold in the Aiken Mall. The suspects have allegedly stolen almost $21,000 worth of merchandise, on two occasions.

Authorities are searching the globe for suspects in the theft of $40 million worth of fuel from a U.S. Army base in Iraq.

A suspect wanted for theft at Aiken Regional Medical Centers has been arrested in Lincoln County, Georgia. He is identified as John Matthew Cox.
