Aiken County Man Arrested For Grand Larceny
According to Sgt. Dave Myers, at 10:30 am on Sunday morning, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) deputies arrested Michael Deangelo Spencer, 39, of the 1200 block of Hatchaway Bridge Road, in Aiken, at the Days Inn located on 2654 Columbia Highway North, in Aiken, on an outstanding ACSO Grand Larceny warrant.

Aiken County Man Sought For Burglary
According to Sgt. Dave Myers, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office holds warrants for the arrest of an Aiken County man, who committed Burglary, Grand Larceny, and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle within Aiken County. The suspect is identified as 26-year-old Marquis E. Cummings.

UPDATED: Family Of Local Businessman Jay Weinberger Issue Statement
Friends and family members are mourning the loss of a well-known Augusta businessman. Jay Weinberger, known for his family furniture business, was found dead early this morning, in Putnam county, Georgia. The Sheriff there says it’s unlike any case he’s seen in his 36 years of law enforcement.

GA Grand Jury Indicts Suspects In Vernon Forrest’s Slaying
A Fulton County grand jury has indicted three men accused in the killing of boxing champion Vernon Forrest. Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard says the three suspects were formally charged Tuesday in a 10-count indictment accusing them each of felony murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery and other charges.

Illinois Cemetery Workers Indicted
A grand jury has handed down a seven-count indictment against four former workers at a historic black cemetery near Chicago that accuses them of theft and desecrating human remains. Prosecutors in Cook County announced the indictment at a court appearance Thursday. The charges also include dismembering human remains, removal of a gravestone or marker, removal of multiple deceases human beings and conspiracy to dismember human bodies.
