Police: Teen Frequently Tied Up, Kept In Closet
A woman accused of beating her 14-year-old son frequently tied him up to prevent him from escaping and had a lock installed on a bedroom closet where he often was kept for days at a time, police said Tuesday. Investigators continued to conduct interviews and examine evidence on Tuesday as they prepare a criminal case against 37-year-old LaRhonda Marie McCall, police Sgt. Gary Knight said.

Pregnant NC Teen Fatally Shot At School Bus Stop
Police say a pregnant 15-year-old was shot and killed Monday morning as she waited at a North Carolina school bus stop. Police spokesman Rob Tufano says Tiffany Wright was shot in the head in Charlotte. She died after being rushed to a hospital. She was 32 weeks along in her pregnancy.

UPDATED: Teen SC Bomb Plotter Agrees To 10 Years In Prison
The South Carolina teenager accused of plotting to blow up his high school is expected to plead guilty to federal explosives charges. Prosecutors and defense attorneys say 19-year-old Ryan Anthony Schallenberger will change his plea to guilty during a hearing in Florence Wednesday. Update: Schallenberger has agreed to serve 10 years in prison.

Lawyers: Accused SC Bomb Plotter To Plead Guilty
Attorneys for the South Carolina teenager accused of plotting to blow up his high school say their client will plead guilty to federal charges next week. Attorneys for 19-year-old Ryan Schallenberger would not say after a brief hearing in Florence on Friday which charges would be part of a plea agreement.

UPDATED: Missing Burke County Teen Located In Richmond County
According to Sgt. Dan Lowe, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office needs assistance from the public in locating a runaway juvenile. The juvenile is identified as 14-year-old Clarissa Mack, who is described as being 5’5” tall, and weighing 130 pounds. Update: Mack has since been found in Richmond County.

Teen Drowns At Wildwood Park
The body of an unidentified 17-year old was found in the lake at Wildwood Park. Emergency medical crews responded Saturday afternoon. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.

UPDATED: SC Man Charged For Fireworks Blast That Severely Hurt Teen
Fifteen-year-old Ryan Stancell has lost his hand and most likely have to have both legs amputated after a fireworks accident Thursday night. Stancell is currently at Greenville Memorial Hospital with sever burns on his chest and will need skin grafts, according to his mother. She says they do think he will survive.

Evaluators: SC Teen Accused In Bomb Plot Competent
Doctors say the South Carolina teen accused of plotting to blow up his high school is competent to stand trial. Federal prison psychiatrists wrote in documents unsealed this week that 19-year-old Ryan Schallenberger was not insane at the time of his alleged crimes.

Prosecutor: SC Slain Teen Robbery Suspect Had BB Gun
A prosecutor says a 15-year-old South Carolina girl shot to death by police officers after a suspected store robbery was holding a BB gun that looked like a 9 mm pistol. Solicitor Kevin Brackett said Wednesday that officers thought Yvette Williams had a real gun when they shot her three times last week.

Police in Athens said a 17-year-old boy is recovering after being shot in the foot during a high school basketball game. Athens-Clarke County police said the Washington-Wilkes High School student was watching the game Friday night and was waiting for his team’s turn to play in the final day of a tournament when he was shot.

SC Teen Killed By Police During Robbery
A 15-year-old South Carolina girl is dead after she was shot by a cop during a robbery…Police say Yvette Williams was robbing a grocery store in Rock Hill when she pulled a gun on an officer. The Rock Hill Chief of Police says the girl was warned several times to drop then gun. When she didn’t, the officer shot and killed her.

Greenville County deputies said 49-year-old Jerri Gray waived an extradition hearing and arrived in Greenville on Wednesday afternoon. Her lawyer spoke publicly about the case on Wednesday, June 17th.
