NYC Terrorism Suspect Zazi Pleads Not Guilty

An Afghan immigrant has pleaded not guilty to plotting a terrorist attack on New York City using common chemicals. Najibullah Zazi’s lawyer entered the plea Tuesday in Brooklyn. Zazi was ordered held without bail during the brief hearing.

UPDATED: Second Suspect Arrested In Aiken Murder

Officers in Aiken are trying to solve their first murder case in nearly two years. Tuesday night, a man was shot to death near downtown Aiken. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has the details. UPDATE: According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, the Aiken Department of Public Safety has arrested 20-year-old Freddie L. Simpkins for the murder of Donald McCalla. UPDATE: According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, a third suspect, Jeremy Holloway is still wanted in the murder. UPDATE: Jeremy Holloway turned himself into the Aiken Department of Public Safety around 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

SC Trick-Or-Treater Killing Suspect Pleading Guilty On Gun Charge

A convicted drug dealer who police say shot and killed a 12-year-old South Carolina trick-or-treater is set to plead guilty to a federal weapons charge. Quentin Patrick is expected to plead guilty Tuesday afternoon in federal court in Columbia after a morning session was postponed.

Columbia County Shoplifting Suspect Sought

According to Captain Steve Morris, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office needs assistance from the public in identifying a shoplifting suspect. The suspect took several items from the Evans, GA Wal-Mart, on Washington Road, on July 10th. The items were valued at a total of more than $600.
