New Reports Say SRS Manager Forced Out
New details are emerging on the management shake-up at the Savannah River Site: Department of Energy officials are being tight-lipped about the re-assignment of their top dog at the site, but new reports out Wednesday claim trouble has been brewing for quite some time. Shake-Up Underway At SRS
A major shake up appears to be underway at the Savannah River Site. Late Tuesday afternoon, WJBF News Channel 6 has learned that Jeffery Allison, the site manager, is being re-assigned to Washington, and will no longer be working at the Savannah River Site. A DOE spokesperson says four others have been re-assigned, as well.

Hundreds Turn Out For Job Fair In Augusta

UPDATED: SRS Employees Treated After Nitric Acid Exposure
Three SRNS employees were transported via ambulance to Doctors Hospital in Augusta after exposure to nitric acid during a work activity at approximately 7:44 a.m., Tuesday morning. UPDATE: WJBF News Channel 6 has learned that two of the workers have been treated and released from Doctors Hospital, and the third is still being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Thousands Come Out For Aiken SRS Job Fair
Tuesday, the Savannah River Site (SRS) held its third of four job fairs, at Aiken Technical College. They saw more than 3,000 applicants come in for orientation and employment opportunities.

New SRS Job Fairs Coming To The CSRA
Remember that big Savannah River Site job fair in Columbia? Now there’s one coming to a town near you. There are hundreds of new jobs added because of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The first job fair is June 17th in Barnwell at the Primary School, from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., in the afternoon. The second is June 24th at USC-Salkehatchie in Allendale, SC…also from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Both events will be preceded with a town hall meeting at noon.
