SC House Overrides Governor Sanford Snow Day Vetoes

Legislators have taken the first votes to override Gov. Mark Sanford’s vetoes of bills that would exempt school districts from having to make up snow days this year. The House voted 82-9 on Tuesday to waive a state law that would require public schools to hold an extra school day to make up for classes canceled Feb. 4 because of snow.
