Three GA Men Arrested For Burglary In Aiken County
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with the Aiken Department of Public Safety, and SLED, arrested three Augusta, GA. men early Monday morning for Burglary 1st Degree and being in Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime, in connection with an Aiken County home invasion.

Beaufort, SC Man Arrested For Threat Against Governor Mark Sanford
A South Carolina man has been arrested after authorities say he called Gov. Mark Sanford’s office and threatened to kill him. The State Law Enforcement Division says 39-year-old Brian MacDermant made the threat Wednesday to a member of Sanford’s staff. SLED spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons says Macdermant didn’t give a specific reason for wanting to harm Sanford.

Body, “Suspicious Package” Found Near North Augusta Playground
A body and a “suspicious package” were found outside the North Augusta Community Center Monday morning. Part of Buena Vista Avenue was shut down for three hours, while investigators and SLED agents worked to find out what happened, and what was inside that package. SC Authorities Seize $5 Million Worth Of Marijuana
South Carolina authorities have seized $5 million worth of marijuana plants that were growing in fields in a northern county. The ‘Herald of Rock Hill’ reported Wednesday that more than 2,500 plants, found in Chester County, have been confiscated and destroyed. No one has been arrested for growing the drug.
