Aiken County Men Sought for Multiple Burglaries
According to Sgt. Dave Myers, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office holds warrants for the arrest of two Aiken County men, who committed Burglary, Grand Larceny and Kidnapping. The men are identified as 24-year-old Kelvin Addison, and 26-year-old Marquis Cummings.

UPDATED: Beech Island Man’s Death Ruled A Homicide
According to Sgt. Dave Myers, a body that SCE&G Beech Island Power Plant employees discovered Wednesday afternoon in the Savannah River, has been identified as 52-year-old Gregory Brabham of Beech Island, S.C. Brabham’s death is being considered a homicide investigation, and is being investigated as such by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office. UPDATE: According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, the autopsy of Gregory Brabham has revealed that his death is a homicide. The cause of death will be revealed at a later date, as investigators say releasing the cause of death may hinder the investigation into Brabham’s death.

3 People Arrested As Aiken County Narcotics Investigators Seize Approximately $49,000, Drugs
According to Sgt Dave Myers, on November 9, 2009 Aiken County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators arrested a Langley, S.C. man for multiple narcotics and firearm charges, a Beech Island, S.C. woman for narcotics charges, and a Warrenville, S.C. woman for possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspects are identified as Gerald Courson, 49, of Langley, SC; Lisa Smith, 38, of beech Island, SC; and Julie Hydrick, 23, of Warrenville, SC.

Dave Myers, late Monday night, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) deputies arrested two Bath, S.C. subjects on outstanding warrants for Trafficking Methamphetamine, and Manufacture, Distribution of Methamphetamine 1st. David Blanken, Sr., 45, of Bay Street, in Bath, is charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, and Manufacture, Distribution of Methamphetamine 1st. Former Aiken County Teacher Arrested for Criminal Sexual Conduct With A Minor
According to Sgt. Dave Myers, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) has arrested a former Aiken County middle school teacher concerning Lewd Act and Criminal Sexual Conduct with a minor. Joseph Jay Magni, Jr., 28, of the 400 block of Cannon Knoll Road, in Lexington, South Carolina is charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor (5 counts), and Lewd Act (5 counts). Magni formerly taught at Leavelle McCampbell Middle School.

Tammy Joy Key, 38, of Cottage Street, in Graniteville, South Carolina is charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor (4 counts), and Lewd Act on a Minor (4 counts).

Dave Myers, at 10:30 am on Sunday morning, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) deputies arrested Michael Deangelo Spencer, 39, of the 1200 block of Hatchaway Bridge Road, in Aiken, at the Days Inn located on 2654 Columbia Highway North, in Aiken, on an outstanding ACSO Grand Larceny warrant.
Aiken County Sheriff’s Office Requests No Masks At Western Carolina State Fair
According to Sgt. Dave Myers, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) would like to remind patrons of the Western Carolina State Fair, which will be in Aiken, S.C. starting Thursday October 22, there will be no persons 16 years of age and over allowed into the fair wearing a mask of any kind. This reminder is for security reasons and the safety for all patrons of the fair.
