Lawmakers fail to get Augusta Golf & Gardens land for city
Georgia lawmakers wrapped up Friday night without passing a bill that would have dissolved the Augusta Golf and Gardens board, clearing the way to give the land back to the city. City leaders have been lobbying to get the land from the state. It’s considered very valuable property, right between the Savannah Riverfront and Reynolds Street in downtown Augusta.
