“Limping Bandit” Arrested Near Charleston
According to Lt. David Turno, with the Aiken Department of Public Safety, a suspect in a 2007 Aiken bank robbery has been arrested near Charleston. He was known as the “Limping Bandit” to the FBI, and is suspected in over 20 bank robberies across the Southeast.

Aiken County Bank Robbery Suspects Sought
According to Captain Troy Elwell, on April 22, at 1:17 p.m., the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Security Federal Bank, located at 2812 Augusta Road, in Langley, SC for an armed robbery. Officials are currently looking for two suspects.

Aiken Department Of Public Safety officers are searching for a bank robbery suspect. Investigators say, shortly before 2:00 p.m., Thursday afternoon, someone got away with cash from the Security Federal Bank, on Richland Avenue.
