Savannah-Chatham County police revealed the grisly details of the July 14 slaying, for the first time at a court hearing Thursday.

A student has been wounded in a shooting at a residence hall at Savannah State University.  University spokeswoman Loretta Heyward says the shooting happened between 11 a.m. and noon Friday at the historically black college on Savannah’s south side. She says campus officials don’t know whether the shooter has been apprehended or whether another student was involved in the shooting.
