Saluda County Man Buried In His Car
Even though he reached the end of the road, a local man decided to stay in his car. Lonnie Holloway was buried in Saluda, South Carolina on Tuesday inside one of his most prized possessions: a 1973 Pontiac Catalina. Holloway, who was born in 1918, asked that his rifles and handguns also be be buried with him. He spend 32 years working for the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Storm Damage Reported In Edgefield County, Tornado Warnings Issued
WJBF News Channel 6 has received reports of large trees being downed in Edgefield County. We have also received reports of large hail in Johnston, South Carolina. We are awaiting word on if there is any damage in Saluda County. Let us know if you see or receive storm damage. Strong weather will continue to move through the CSRA Friday night, and should clear up by Saturday morning.

Who Killed Kay Riley?
A Saluda County woman’s death continues to baffle investigators. Last month, the body of 54-year-old Kay Riley was found inside a burning office building, off of Highway 391, in Saluda. There is no clear motive, and investigators have no leads. Riley’s family hopes its help will be enough to catch a killer. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has the story.

Saluda Woman’s Death ‘Baffles’ Investigators
A Saluda County woman’s death is baffling investigators. 54-year-old Kay Riley was found shot to death, last week, in an office building that police say had been set on fire. The Saluda County Sheriff calls this case bizarre, and while he says it’s still early in the investigation, all signs point to foul play. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has more.

Saluda County Woman Charged With Neglect In Child Death Investigation
According to a release from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), agents are charging a Saluda County woman in connection with the death of her toddler son. Renata M. Hill, 27, of the 100 block of Bittersweet Road, in Chappells, S.C., is charged with Unlawful Neglect of a Child.
