WJBF News Channel 6 has just learned there has been a bank robbery at the Regions Bank branch, in Clearwater, SC. A suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money, and officials are searching for him. UPDATE: We now have a release from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office. UPDATE: Danny Lee Gant was arrested in Richmond County on Tuesday, August 11th, and extradicted to Aiken County on Thursday.

Richmond County Sheriff’s Office investigators are looking for a robbery suspect. They tell, us around noon Wednesday, a black male covered his face and held up the Corner Market clerk, on Laney Walker Boulevard.

Former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield was an early arrival among the thousands expected to turn out on Monday to remember three-time boxing champion Vernon Forrest, who was killed in an attempted robbery. The funeral service is at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, just east of Atlanta. UPDATE: Holmes has now been arrested by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, the Aiken Department of Public Safety has arrested four individuals for armed robbery. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 27th, at about 12:20 a.m., at 1610 Richland Avenue East, at Greg’s Gas Plus.
