Columbia County Traffic Engineering wishes to inform the driving public of a temporary road closure at Hightower Drive between Roberts Road and Haley Road beginning Wednesday, October 28th at 7:00 a.m. through Friday, October 30th at 6:00 p.m.

Some Burke County folks fighting to keep a road open have reached a compromise with commissioners.

Families living on Frank Farmer Road had fought to stop commissioners from closing the road permanently.

Families who live on Frank Farmer Road and people who use the road will have their first opportunity to speak out against the closing of a mile and half portion of the road.
