UPDATED: Second Suspect Arrested In Richmond County Home Invasion

According to Lt. Scott Peebles, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a home invasion suspect. Ahijah Murray, 19, has been charged with one count each of Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Burglary and Theft by Taking Motor Vehicle. Murray is being held without bond in the Richmond County Jail. UPDATE: Jonathan Cornelius Glenn, 28, was arrested Wednesday morning in connection to the home invasion.

UPDATED: Richmond County Domestic Violence Suspect Arrested

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking 42-year-old Melvin Germany on charges of Kidnapping, Rape, and Aggravated Assault with a Motor Vehicle. The aforementioned charges are related to domestic violence which involves a former live-in girlfriend. All incidents occurred on or between the dates of September 17th and September 21st. UPDATE: Germany was located and arrested thursday morning, in Augusta.

Man Arrested In Augusta For Exposing Himself To Student

On Thursday morning, Robert Lee Benefield, Jr. was arrested and booked into the Richmond County Jail on the charge of Public Indecency. Benefield is accused of following a Butler High School student in a vehicle, as she walked to school. While following the victim, Benefield is accused of exposing his genitals and masturbating.

Ronald Ivan Morgan, 28, has been arrested after 150 pounds of marijuana, and 2 ecstasy pills were found at Custom Car Audio and Tinting, on Milledgeville Road, early Wednesday morning.

Former Richmond County Deputy Arrested, Fired After Assault

In a WJBF News Channel 6 Crime Tracker report, a former Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputy is off the job and behind bars. This comes after an incident at a local nightclub, where the Sheriff says the deputy used excessive force. Bryan Johnson was arrested Monday.

According to Lt. Scott Peebles, on Thursday afternoon, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has filed charges against 28-year-old Roger Antonio Bettis, of North Augusta, in reference to the June 3rd assault of a 63-year-old woman at MCG Hospital.

Augusta Store Employee Nabs “Scarecrow” Bandit

According to Lt. Scott Peebles, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has identified two individuals it believes are responsible for a string of robberies across the CSRA over the past few months. David Jackson Jr., and Jimmy Fitzgerald Pontoon have been named as suspects in at least seven Richmond County robberies.

Woman Arrested in Connection To Richmond County Home Invasion

According to Sgt. Ronald Sylvester, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a woman in connection to a weekend home invasion. Two people were shot in the home invasion, which occurred at Raes Creek Mobile Home Park, on the 1000 block of Ollerich Avenue. The woman’s name is Chrysanntia Washington.

Deputy Michael Arrington, of Grovetown, was arrested Thursday morning at the Richmond County jail. Richmond County Sheriff Ronnie Strength says, as recently as Thursday morning, Arrington sold marijuana to an inmate.
