With a record number of registered voters officials were predicting long lines and waits at Augusta’s 52 polling places. but most voters did not face long lines and many were in and out in minutes.

Richmond County Prepping For A Record Voter Turnout

Augusta gears up for Election Day. The city has a record number of registered voters 106,000 and turnout is expect to be 80 to 85 percent. But, even though early voting we eased some of the crowds, elections officials say tens of thousands will be coming to the polls Election Day.
