Troubled Augusta Restaurant Wants To Serve Alcohol Again
It’s far from a routine request for a beer and wine license. Two years ago, Super C lost its liquor license after an 18-year-old man was shot and killed inside the business. Now, the wife of the owner is back before Augusta Commissioners looking to get back into the booze business. WJBF News Channel 6’s George Eskola has the story.

UPDATED: Investigators Searching For Bodies Behind Off Washington Road
At this time, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is behind Longhorn Steakhouse resturant, on Washington Road, searching for two bodies. Invesitgators got a tip a few days ago that there are two bodies buried on Cherry Street. They believe it’s a homicide. The tipster remains anomymous. WJBF News Channel 6’s Barclay Bishop is following the search and she has the latest. UPDATE: Investigators will be out in full force, on Thursday, to continue the search, with assistance from other agencies as well.

North Augusta Captain D’s Restaurant Burglary Suspects Sought
In an e-mail to WJBF News Channel 6, the North Augusta Department of Public Safety is aksing for help from the public to identify a suspect in the burglary of the North Augusta Captain D’s restaurant, located at 102 Edgefield Road. The burglary occurred on June 11th.

UPDATED: Popular McDuffie County Restaurant Destroyed by Fire, Ruled Accidental
One of McDduffie County’s most popular restaurants was severely damaged by fire. Our news partner, “The McDuffie Mirror” shares this report with WJBF News Channel 6. It’s the Raysville Bait and Tackle and Bob’s Cafe on Lincolnton Highway. According to Donna Branch, News Director for WTHO-FM, the fire has been ruled accidental.

Three People Arrested In Connection To Augusta Shooting Death
We have some new information in the murder of an Augusta business owner. Three people are behind bars in connection to the crime after investigators say the gunman turned himself in, Sunday night. Authorities made two arrests in the owner’s death…24-year old Susan Elaine Inglett and 18-year-old Nicholason Williams are charged with murder. Then late Sunday night, 20-year-old Michael Eugene Williams, who police say is the gunman, turned himself into the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. WJBF News Channel 6’s Sheena Bodie has more.

A South Carolina restaurant employee has been arrested and accused of shooting a customer who complained about the service. The Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office says 29-year-old Yakeisha Ward of Manning is charged with assault and battery within intent to kill.

Snake Head In Food Rattles Diner At NY Restaurant
A diner at a T.G.I. Friday’s in upstate New York says he got a little something extra with his broccoli - a severed snake head. Jack Pendleton says he was at the restaurant in Clifton Park on Sunday when he spotted something gray mixed in with his vegetables. He realized it was a snake head the size of his thumb, with part of the spine still attached.

SC May Cut To Just 1 Restaurant Inspection A Year
State health officials may switch to just one surprise inspection a year for South Carolina restaurants. The Department of Health and Environmental Control strives for two unannounced inspections a year. But spokesman Thom Berry says the agency may change the policy to deal with a $1.5 million budget cut.
